The new "Turlock Certified Farmers Market" opens
its inaugural 2010 season Friday, May 7th in downtown Turlock.
The Farmers Market will operate Fridays, rain or shine!
May 7th ~ November 26th
8:00 AM ~ 1:00 PM.
Several city organizers and farmers have come together to
bring a new and redeveloped farmers market to the community
that will foster support not only for our local farmers, but
for our local artisans and business owners as well.
Our goal is to provide a market place in downtown Turlock
that offers the best and freshest foods and products from
around the area, keeping it, "Always Local!"
Products:
Farm fresh fruits, vegetables, dried fruit, flowers and nuts,
along with artisan products and baked goods.

Warrior Athletics Golf
Tournament
Scheduled Sept. 27 at Stevinson Ranch
The Warrior Athletics Golf Tournament, to
benefit athletic scholarships at CSU Stanislaus, will be held
this year on Sept. 27 at Stevinson Ranch Golf Course, recently
ranked the No. 1 public golf course in California in the Golf
World Reader's Choice Awards.
"This is one of the most important fundraising
events of the year," said CSU Stanislaus Athletic Director
Milt Richards. "These scholarships allow the university
to provide top-notch student athletes the opportunity to compete
and earn a college education."
This year's tournament will be a four-person
scramble format, with registration beginning at 11 a.m. at
the course, located in the town of Stevinson at 2700 Van Clief
Road. Super Saver cards will be available, goodie bags will
go to each player, and there will be prizes and a silent auction.
The event will wrap up with a recognition dinner in the clubhouse
for players and sponsors.
The cost will be $150 per player, and sponsorship
opportunities are available for individuals and businesses.
