Ingredients:
4 pork chops, boneless
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil
Sauce:
3 garlic cloves, minced
½ cup soy sauce
1 teaspoon ground red pepper
½ cup brown sugar
1 cup water
1 tablespoon corn starch
Pasta:
2 twelve ounce packages of preferred pasta (follow preparation
directions on the package)
Heat olive oil in a skillet on high heat. Fry pork on both sides
until it turns a golden brown. After turning the pork over once,
add the minced garlic. In a separate bowl, combine soy sauce,
brown sugar, and ground red pepper and stir until mixed well.
Pour mixture into the skillet over the pork. Bring to a boil and
cover. Simmer on medium heat for 20 minutes. After 10 minutes,
turn the pork over once. Cover and continue to simmer for the
remaining 10 minutes. Remove pork from the skillet and bring the
heat back to high. Combine the water and corn starch in a small
bowl and mix well. When the sauce start to boil rapidly, pour
corn starch mixture into the skillet and stir until the sauce
thickens. Serve pork over pasta and ladle sauce on the top.
Ingredients:
4 medium sized tomatoes cut in quarters
¼ fresh onion cut in half
1 handful fresh cilantro
1 fresh jalapeno pepper cut in half (seeded, if desired)
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon salt
1 ½ teaspoon sugar
½ teaspoon pepper
Place tomatoes, onions, cilantro, lemon juice and jalapeno pepper
in food processor. Pulse six times or until your desired thickness.
Add salt, pepper, sugar and stir. Place in refrigerator for one
hour and serve with your favorite tortilla chips.
